It is already early November, and my parsers collected fresh data a while ago. Today I am sharing an analysis of the rating update and project news.

#Project news

#New technologies

This month we added several technologies:

Fortran, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, Kafka

#Technology moves

Qt was moved from libraries to frameworks.

#Removed technologies

Ant Design was removed from the rating.

#Parser improvements

The main improvement this month is a complete parser rework. We significantly reduced the percentage of irrelevant vacancies that get into the analysis. The filtering algorithm became smarter:

  • It recognizes the context of a technology mention in a vacancy description better;
  • It reduces the impact of accidental matches by name;
  • It improves rating accuracy.

Expect even bigger parser improvements in the coming month.

#FAQ improvements

In the "Frequently Asked Questions" section, we described the rating methodology in more detail:

  • How data is collected (HeadHunter, Habr Career);
  • How statistical normalization is applied (Z-score);
  • How the final score is calculated (3-50 points).

#Libraries and packages

Jackson moved up by 16 points!

caret dropped by 24 points!

#Databases

  • PostgreSQL is the leader among relational databases;
  • MongoDB remains relevant for NoSQL tasks;
  • Redis has strong demand for caching and real-time applications;
  • ClickHouse (new) shows growing demand for analytical databases.

#DevOps and cloud

  • Docker remains the containerization standard;
  • Kubernetes keeps developing actively;
  • AWS is the leading cloud platform in Russia;
  • RabbitMQ (new addition) is a stable alternative to Kafka;
  • Kafka (new addition) shows growing demand for stream processing.

#Key takeaways

The parser became more accurate - this month's results are more reliable thanks to the improvements.

#What is next?

  • Parser optimization - further improvements to vacancy filtering;
  • More metrics - additional metrics are planned for a fuller picture.
